Washington State History Through the Lens of Innovation
The Curriculum
In this curriculum, students progress through three carefully scaffolded modules that explain the history of innovation, the impacts on local communities and finally, how photo essays, the culminating project, can bring about dialogue and change. The curriculum is published as a OER (Open Educational Resource) on the OSPI website.
Educurious is a E-learning company that utilizes project-based learning curriculum “to empower youth to take charge of their learning.” In this role, I developed curriculum that built on state standards to tell about the history of innovation in Washington state.
Supporting Readers
To support readers, I designed a student resource guide that curated materials necessary for the final project and outlined specific historical case studies that highlighted the impact of innovation on Washington communities.
