Kelly Wall

Educator, Consultant, Artist

A woman with blonde hair, wearing a blue headband and red jacket, is writing on a large sheet of paper with colored markers. The paper contains handwritten notes in green, black, pink, and orange ink, with some text circled and arrows pointing to specific sections.

Based in Bellingham, WA — working with families, students, schools, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations.

Kelly Wall is an educational consultant with roots in education and a hand in the art studio.

Kelly works nationally, and has led professional learning workshops to shift teacher’s perspectives about what ‘good’ learning looks like.

Educator. Consultant. Artist

Kelly Wall has spent fifteen years at the intersection of learning, design, and the stubborn belief that education can be better.

She holds a Master's in Educational Studies from the University of Michigan, has written curriculum used by students and teachers in Washington state and across the country. She has published lessons on TED-Ed reaching millions of learners worldwide.

Currently she works with families, schools, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations on the hard, meaningful work of what good learning looks like — and what it can actually change. Her consulting spans curriculum design, professional development, grant writing, and strategic planning. When working with clients she keeps one thing central: whatever brought them to this work in the first place.

….and when she's not doing that, she's in the studio making ceramics rooted in ancient traditions. Her work as a scholar of of history and learning are well represented in her diverse body of work.

Free Consultation
$0.00

Let’s figure out if we are good fit. I offer a free 30 minute consultation, no pressure. Just a real conversation about what you’re working on and whether I’m the right person to help.

Here’s what we will cover:

  • What goal are you trying to accomplish? — the goal, the timeline and what’s getting in the way

  • What kind of support would actually move things forward? —whether that’s curriculum design, a grant, a PD day, or something in between

  • Whether I’m the right fit — I work with a small number of clients at a time, and I’ll be honest if someone else might serve you better

By the end of our call you’ll have at least one concrete next step whether we work together or not.

Consulting Services

  • From early readers to college bound seniors, I offer personalized 50- or 90- minute sessions that meet students where they are. Whether the goal is stronger writing, AP Prep or figuring out what comes after high-school, we build a plan that actually fits.

  • Professional development that respects educators as professionals. Inquiry-based, practical, and built to change practice — not just fill a day.

  • AI is already in your classrooms — the question is whether you’re engaging with it intentionally. I work with schools, educators, and organizations to build honest, equity-centered frameworks for ethical AI use, from policy development to curriculum integration and professional development.

  • Curriculum and instructional design grounded in inquiry, equity, and how people actually learn — from scope and sequence to student-facing materials.

  • Grant writing and fundraising strategy for nonprofits and education organizations — from individual proposals to full funding system development. Deep expertise in Washington State DCYF and federal education funding.

  • Strategic planning facilitation that's participatory, realistic, and built to produce plans teams actually use — not documents that live in a drawer.

  • Coaching and curriculum support to embed disciplinary literacy — reading, writing, and thinking in the content areas — into K–12 classrooms. Grounded in research. Built for real teachers.

  • Structured curriculum review assessing standards alignment, coherence, equity, and instructional quality — with a concrete set of findings and next steps.

  • Onboarding design and facilitation that gives new teachers practical tools and a real support structure — not a binder of policies and a handshake.

  • Digital course and learning experience design that's pedagogically grounded, engaging, and built around how people actually learn — not just content to scroll through.

  • The path after high school looks different for every student — not everyone is headed to the same place. I help students in grades 9-12 map out what comes next with intention, applications, essays, gap year planning, career exploration and everything in between.
